Vice President .Net Software Development, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52401
Summary: Client is one of leading insurance technology partner in the industry. We are seeking a Vice President, .Net Software Developer in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the VP of Software Development is responsible for the management and development of the programming and quality assurance departments; implement solutions on time and on budget with high level of client satisfaction; manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix environment; document work effort, develop work plans, assign resources; and report status and other communications with key constituents.
Define integration strategy and vision for projects; develop and apply consistent, standardized development processes that are regularly updated; understand business needs and how software can enable those needs; research and understand changing technology and make appropriate recommendations; and assist in hardware and software project planning and allocation of resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent education
- in a related discipline is required
- 12+ years solid and progressive experience in IT/software development
- 5+ years experience in leadership role, employee supervision and project management
- required, including planning, budgetary control, and people development and
- management.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and comfortable presenting information to groups.
- Demonstrated ability to create application integration strategies and execute on those strategies;
- Proven success architecting complex software applications.
- Experience with structured software development methodologies.
- Deep technical expertise in Microsoft .NET and OO analysis and design and strong problem solving skills.
- Insurance Industry or Financial Software experience is a plus.
