POSITION: Sr. Software Developer – SAS Programmer- Chicago Il 60606
Strong Sas developer with BASE and Macro experience. Any STAT a plus.
Summary : Be part of an integral part of a high-energy team that is revolutionizing the way the industry will analyze advertising performance and impact on shopper behavior. The Senior Software Developer is responsible for the design, development and ongoing maintenance of all analysis and reporting for client projects across all media types (TV, Internet, etc). This includes developing and managing methodologies for tracking, identifying and problem-solving for issues, interpreting program results and insights, and ultimately working towards the development of data-driven analyses for clients. This position requires an individual that can manage multiple tasks at once and independently manage their own time. This person must be intellectually curious, have the ability to mine data to answer complex questions and be able to clearly communicate findings. Attention to process and detail is a must.
The ideal Sr. Software Developer is:
– Knowledgeable in statistical methodologies and can execute with appropriate parameters and data
– Selects proper statistical methodology for given project and implements correctly for accuracy and insights.
– Competent in SAS
– Knowledgeable and competent in RDBMS systems such as Netezza, Teradata, GreenPlum or Oracle
– Has effective problem solving skills including the ability to track down sources of unexpected results unusual behavior.
– Able to explain technical information in non-technical terms
– Knowledgeable Frequent Shopper Data
– Experienced with media measurement data such as NetRatings, ComScore, DoubleClick, Atlas, Omiture, CoreMetrics, Google Analytics, etc. (preferred but not required)
– Has a general understanding of CPG industry and data
– Has a general understanding of media landscape and measurement techniques
– Able to follow directions and specifications
– Responsive to internal/external clients
Qualifications– Bachelors degree in quantitative discipline such as economics, business, statistics, or other relevant field
– Extensive experience in SAS programming
– Basic knowledge of multivariate statistics
– Knowledgeable and competent in RDBMS systems such as Netezza, Teradata, RedPlum or Oracle
– Problem solving skills (deductive reasoning, able to see hierarchical relationships, gaps in logic)
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Desired
– Experience in CPG or Media research
– Experienced with media measurement data such as NetRatings, ComScore, DoubleClick, Atlas, Omiture, CoreMetrics, Google Analytics.
– Previous analysis experience in Marketing Research a plus
– Experience with basic programming languages such as C/C++
