.NET Life Insurance Technical Project Manager

Key points: Reporting to the AVP of Technical Services, the Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a client implementation and their ongoing support. Will work closely with a client and their internal project team to provide high quality requirements, design, configuration, coding, testing and delivery of our insurance illustration software.
This individual is the primary technical contact with client and will help maintain the client relationship. Must be able to work independently. This is a revenue generating position. Working knowledge of Life Insurance products a must, including Universal Life, Whole Life, Term and Annuity. Will be required to review client product specifications, estimate effort and timeframes, and oversee the implementation of these products by the programming staff, including a quality product delivery.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years LIFE Insurance industry experience with a clear understanding of the full product and process life cycle for modules Universal Life, Whole Life, Term and Annuity.
- Must have solid understanding of Visual Basic 6, VB.Net or C# with 5 years of programming experience.
- Must have experience with design and develop source code to perform the requirements of the application specifications.
- Must have experience to develop test data for testing whether or not the program meets application design specifications.
- Must have experience documenting program design, coding and maintenance to allow for future changes.
- Strong mathematical skills and spreadsheet knowledge.
- 5+ years of actuarial experience (or similar) in product development of Life products a plus
- Will be required to review client product specifications, estimate effort and time frames, and oversee the implementation of these products by the programming staff, including a quality product delivery.
- 4 years college education preferred
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Must be able to set, achieve and drive deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
- Solid communication, analytical, and organization skills
- People Management: Mentors and leads only, does not have authority to hire and terminate (May or may not have direct reports. Utilize resources per client and project).
