POSITION: Jr. Quality and Technical Support Analyst, Chicago, IL. 60601
SUMMARY: We are seeking a Jr. Quality and Technical Support Analyst for an E-Commerce company. You will be responsible for functional web site and digital product application testing. Also responsible for second and third level technical support. Responsible for the ongoing quality assessment for all of the company’s web sites and digital products and the management of the corrective action processes with developers and systems engineers.
TECHNOLOGIES: HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS, UNIX, MacOS, Windows, Selenium with Bromine. XML, JSP, Java, Networking, TCP/IP
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in related field, 2+ years experience in a Quality Assurance capacity and NO more than 4 to 5 yrs experience within the IT arena. Certifications in related technologies and Must have some Automation experience. Outstanding communication and follow-up skills. Ability to work third shift occasionally
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform continuous, periodic quality assessment of all web sites and digital products for content, display, and functional problems as well as divergence from technical standards. Perform functional and performance testing of online features for launch as directed. Document, assess, prioritize, and manage resolution of all issues, escalating to application development or systems engineering as necessary.Manage second and third level technical support inquiries from customer service for all digital products. This includes: assessing the inquiry, testing issues to verify validity, forwarding the issue to appropriate resource for resolution, resolution follow-up, and communicating resolutions. Develop FAQ documents for common problems or issues that arise with all digital products. Maintain accurate records producing a periodic report of issues, their resolutions, and a performance measurement scorecard.
