POSITION: HEALTHCARE CERTIFIED CODER
SUMMARY: Our client is a healthcare organization that provides exceptional full level inpatient / outpatient mental and health services to the community. As a key member, the Healthcare Certified Coder will have high visibility and heavy interface with physicians and medical staff professionals throughout the entire organization. Heavy focus on coding regulations, principals, and compliance. Managing the billing reimbursement processes for all patients, ensuring that all coding is accurate.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or some college coursework. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required. Coding Certification: CCS. 2+ years of coding, assignment reimbursement, and expertise in ICD-9-CM. Strong working knowledge of 3-M encoding system and Meditech experience. Competent Technical Computer Knowledge. Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual skills, and must be detail oriented with outstanding presentation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong desire to succeed and ability to work under pressure.
