POSITION: HEALTHCARE AUDITOR–CODING – Fredericksburg, VA.
SUMMARY: Our client is a not-for-profit regional health care provider facility and wellness services organization. As a key member, the Healthcare Auditor will be conducting internal audits for inpatients / outpatients records for the facilities. Heavy focus on coding regulations and compliance. Creating and revising billing processes, conducting formal audit reviews, and ensuring policies / procedures standardized with the government regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, and/or Health Information Management / Technology. Certifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and/or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required. Coding Certification: CCS. 5+ (five) years of auditing inpatients / outpatients records. 3+ years in coding and/or assignment reimbursement expertise within the healthcare arena. Current or previous formal training experience required. Strong medical terminology, anatomy, and medical electronic records applications. Must have thorough understanding of the components of audits, quality improvement studies, data collection, and statistical reporting. Competent Technical Computer Knowledge. Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual skills, and must be detail oriented with outstanding presentation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong desire to succeed and ability to work under pressure.
