POSITION: Employee Relations Human Resource Representative, Chicago, IL.
Summary: Client is a global/national Retail / Manufacturing company. We are seeking an Employee Relations Human Resource Representative for the Chicago Corporate Office. As the Strategic Business Partner working with the company’s owned regional Retail Branches and Parts Distribution Center (PDC), you will create, develop and implement a full life cycle policy and procedural programs for approx 1000+employees. Manage and drive safety initiatives including proactive measures to reduce hazards and injuries and perform root cause analysis with Branch and PDC leadership team. Implement process to ensure leave policies (MLOA/Worker’s Compensation/ return to work policies) are standardized and established in Retail Branch locations and the PDC
The Employee Relations Human Resource Representative placed in this position will cover the Midwest and Southern US territory regions. Must be open to travel, (Domestic) approx. 20%.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Two (2) to Eight (8) years within a Human Resources generalist role, of which consist Employee Relations and Workers’ Compensation experience. Working knowledge of Lean Principles, and of applicable State and Federal laws and regulations in the US. Must have experience in managing multi-site facilities environments within one of the following: Manufacturing, Retail, CPG, Distribution, Transportation or Supply Chain industries.
Excellent project management skills, outstanding presentation, and verbal and written communication skills. Extensive experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision to implementation. Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and HR software applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills. Strong desire to succeed and ability to work under pressure.
